The Story of New Wave Technology
Our Beginnings
New Wave Technology was founded in June 2024.Since then, we have grown into a team of over 40 experts, serving clients across multiple states.
New Wave Technology, although a new company, has leadership and employees with extensive and proven fiber optic network and telecommunications systems experience. This experience spans all tasks required to complete a successful turn-key design project from planning and design to staking, permitting, and clearing all the regulatory hurdles typically encountered to complete these types of projects. In addition to our recognized engineering services, our firm has the expertise required to complete all aspects of construction inspection and construction management from the preparation and oversight of bids to selections and close-out documents. The New Wave Technology team is confident that skill, experience, well-informed strategies, quality and diligence will result in success for our clients.

Network Planning and Implementation
We offer project feasibility studies to help clients assess the viability of their engineering projects. Our experts provide valuable insights and recommendations to help clients make informed decisions about engineering design and construction cost to determine their budgets on projects.
Outside Plant Design Services
Utilizing the approved FTTH Network Design, New Wave Technology will commence with Field Engineering and Work Print Generation for Construction Drawings. New Wave Technology will use the necessary software to create take-off drawings utilizing road base, parcel/address, existing network infrastructure, and design data.
Final construction drawings can be created in either CAD or hand-drawn format, although most often we utilize hand-drawn drawings for better client cost and efficiency. This is particularly effective when permitting requirements are simpler and when clients prefer to wait and enter all as-built data into their GIS platforms.
Permit Preparation and Tracking
Upon the completion of Field Engineering, Permitting packages can be completed for each required entity, including: Local, County, City, DOT, or other “special” permits as needed. New Wave Technology has long-standing working relationships with most DOT Districts across multiple states and can guide permit packages to approval as needed.
New Wave Technology is also accustomed to working with all “special” permitting authorities, including: multiple rail-road entities and all Federal authorities. In addition to our qualified staff, including PE stamps/approvals as needed, we maintain relationships with other specialized Environmental Firms to assist as needed.
Contract Support and Bid Packages
Once Field Engineering and BOMs are complete, we customarily create an array of various Contract packages. We are very familiar with and regularly use/issue standard RUS Contract Forms including: 773, 515, and 395…regardless of the type of funding being used.
New Wave Technology can create Contract Packages for all of the various needs on projects including: Special Equipment Purchases, Main-Line Construction, and stand-alone Splicing as needed. We are also well-versed in the RUS’ Competitive Bid requirements and can conduct all Pre-Bid, Bid-Opening, and Pre-Construction conferences as needed or can complete Requests for Negotiation if Client has preferred contractors.
Construction Management and Inspection
Construction Management is included in nearly every project that we operate and nearly every employee on our team has a hand in this step in some way. Size/Scope and pace of work typically dictate the size of staff that is dedicated to this step.
Typically, a Resident Engineer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day on-site project operations including Contractor/Client coordination, community representative for complaints and other construction hurdles, as-built review and final tabulations…Inspector's typically work hand in hand with the individual placing crews to record all sequential data required to properly as-built the construction records and reports directly to the Resident Engineer assigned to a project.
Regulatory Support and Assistance
As modern-day businesses expand and grow, the regulatory environment it is subjected to increases in scale and volume. This requires a business to implement the right measures, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with the myriad of regulatory requirements implemented at many levels within the business process stack. The benefits of proper regulatory compliance include the avoidance of unnecessary and often burdensome legal issues, increased efficiency and safety in the workplace, and reduced risk with increased profitability.
New Wave Technology can assist with the preparation of filings in regulatory proceedings including but not limited to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), National Exchange Carriers Association (NECA), Rural Utility Service (RUS) and any state level grant program.
